About Magdalene Cooman
Magdalene Cooman is the founder for and the author of ‘Live Your Future Now’ an e-magazine, which is a product of her blog. She is also the Director of Employer Engagement at LASI World Skills, a non-for-profit organization in Ottawa which supports the economic integration of newcomers to Canada. She has spear headed and collaborated with partnering organizations to implement several initiatives in Ottawa which has resulted in employment for hundreds of newcomers. As an entrepreneur, she is the owner of Simplified Training and Facilitation, a company which provides training and facilitation services to the community. She has authored and co-authored several curriculums which has benefited hundreds of front line staff as well as newcomers to Canada.
She is a Saint Lucian National who is a graduate from the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College and the Mico University College in Jamaica, with Honours in Special Education. She is also a new graduate with a Practical Master’s of Business Administration, from the Caswell’s Corporate Coaching Company.
