Wilson Jn Baptiste
CEO of Gems of Saint Lucia
Wilson Jn Baptiste is a St. Lucian national with a passionate interest in toursim development. He has a Master’s degree in Tourism Management and undergraduate degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from New York University (NYU), NY. He is a Hospitality and Tourism professional with over 20 years of experience in US and Caribbean markets. He is skilled in hotel operations management with emphasis on developing, implementing and evaluating policies and procedures; financial and managerial accounting; negotiations with suppliers for the provision of material and supplies; recruitment and supervision of staff including staff training and setting work schedules.
Wilson's excellent research, communication, writing and presentation skills have enabled him to build strong partnerships with the private and public sector across several countries.

Magdalene Cooman
Director of Operations, Gems of Saint Lucia
Magdalene Cooman is a St.Lucian national who lives in Canada. She is excited about joining the Gems team as the Director of Operations to expand Gems services and products to Canada. She has over twenty years of experience in developing and managing diverse community partnerships, including governments, private sector and not-for-profit organization partners. She is a strategic and creative thinker, a social entrepreneur who enjoys exploring new ideas, addressing social issues and who has worked with various organzatios over the years in writing grants, negotiating funding, managing and overseeing funding agreements with public and private sector organizations. She has significant experience working at a municipal, provincial, national and international level.

Nyamulola Kambanji

Nyamulola Kambanji is originally from Zambia and currently resides in Ottawa, Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Electronic Commerce from the University of New Brunswick. She has over eleven years experience working in banking, research and not- for- profits. She has extensive work experience with newcomers and understanding of their employment challenges. She worked on an evidence-based project were she conducted research on the best practices of recruiting, hiring and promoting of newcomers in Canadian workplaces. She has also provided critical assistance in the development of content, tools, focus group planning and facilitation.
A passionate freelance photographer, Nyamulola is also an avid tennis player, loves traveling, culinary and reading. Her photography work includes; contributing work to an Ottawa immigrant serving agencies, weddings, engagements and corporate events. In 2013, she traveled to New York and contributed photographs to a story about a Brooklyn woman who has been feeding homeless people for over ten years. This spring, Nyamulola will also be contributing her photography skills to the Centre for Research & Education on Women and Work at Carleton University. She supports causes that promote immigrant integration and is currently working on a project titled "Immigrants of Ottawa" a photography project depicting the many faces of new Canadians who call Ottawa home.
